    Welcome to the club.
Not meaning to scare you but it appears you purchased the car from quinton?
If that's the case I would be taking the car to your local Mitsi dealer and getting the thing fully checked out.
Give it a good service and get all the drive line oils changed.

Hey welcome to the club, are you in Palmy then or elsewhere? Good idea to get it looked after by somebody in the know and then you can trust it has been serviced properly. Also take some more photos while you have a good look over the car and everyone here can help you out with anything you encounter.

Thanks mate, na im actually from Piopio waikato if you know where that is ? I see your in the same region too, who do you deal with ? Quinton told me he had fully serviced the car, i have had it a few weeks now only thing ive noticed is the engine light comes on when the tcl is off but when i turn the car off it is fine again ? other than that car is runnig well, no oil fluids lost at all and car runs smooth.

With regards to the exhaust, go to a decent exhaust shop and see how much it will be to get one installed, sometimes Q's prices arent the best.

For piece of mind I would still get it serviced properly, atf, engine oil, plugs, atf filter, ps fluid, transfer case, ayc etc all done, just so you know where you are at.

With the tcl/engine light issue, its a known issue, have a search on the site here.

Nope had no idea lol had to google it. Looks like it's quite far from society haha. As a poor student I haven't really taken my car anywhere unless necessary for replacing unwarrantable items. I do oil changes and plugs which turned black after a couple of hours driving in my GDI, so I should really get the overfuelling diagnosed some time lol. I'll get myself a VAG COM cable that will work with evoscan for logging the ECU, which you may also want to look into as well.

Heh, I went to school in Piopio many years ago - parents still live in Te Kuiti. Didn't have my VR4 until long after I'd left there though!

There is some good info on here. It can just be a bit tedious to search through.

When It comes to modifications a uprated fuel pump and intercooler are probably the best places to start, and then a professional ECU reflash accompanied with the installation of a 3 port boost control solenoid to replace the stock 2 port unit will net you near the 190-195kW at the wheels. much more power than that you need to spend a fair bit more cash upgrading cams, turbos and so on.

Thanks Adam. I am finding this club very usefull, like you said though can be a bit tenious haha. ATM im kind of thinking about what to aim towards, i dont know if i should get an after market exhaust or intercooler. i know a good exhaust to go for would be the 3'' Fujitsubo legalis r evoloution. not too sure about the intercooler really... i know to get a 600x300x76 just need to find the right one really you know...
