Why is it rude? You cert it because of frontal impact laws. They will especially want it certed if the bumper reinforcing is altered

Nothings been altered though. I dont really care that it has to be certed, just seems a bit silly. I hope they dont try to cert my recaros and momo steering wheel since they are factory fitted haha.

Craig and I might be able to help you out Reece. I've asked for a fixed price offer on a set of coil overs I bid on, thought I'd be checky and bid to $80 but it turns out the reserve was only $100. They are local to me so if they get offered you can grab them if you want. I don't mind packing them. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/List...x?id=823480964 The rears have keeper springs included too so that's a bonus.
I had to go through the VTNZ bull**** when my car was green stickered - they put a note on the paperwork about the front mount but once they were shown that nothing was modified to fit it (original mounting points, crash bar intact) they passed it.
Depends how much of an asshat the guy is when you go to get it back on the road.
Page 3 of this mentions the threshold for front mounts:

I'll let you know as soon as I get a hold of the seller. Just my two cents worth. They are going to want a wheel alignment sheet to show the chassis is not bent, I'm not sure how you'd get around that one. Also take a quick look underneath to make sure the rails aren't crushed or even slightly bent, same goes for the sill flange. They will hit you on ANY damage in these areas.
Chassis has been straightened. And it turns out the car is straighter now than before the accident. The panel beater, Shane, showed me a few things and it looks like the car has had a bit of a prang before.
The repair certifier guy has seen the car and he's pretty happy with it, just wants the rear guards fix up, which is good since I wanted Shane to fix them up anyway haha
Hahaha sorry about that CraigGeez thanks Justin get him onto a really cheap set of adjusties I could get and leave me with a set sitting in my garage lol.
