MK2 CRX, at this time, in my early 20, it was stupidly quick and real fun to drive, abuse which it handle without missing a bit was unreal, redlining all day every day for over a year then crash it, actually I drive it UNDER golf mk 2, his backbox end up in my front light. Then I get another one and crash it too. After second crash I was thinking to get something more sensible and get my very first Galant E33, it was a massive lemon, but thanks to that I learn a lot about how car work and stay with Mitsi since.
His FL Legnum VR4 running 238.8 ATW HP and 500Nm @1.05 bar on LPG

Has to be my FTO. The standard engine i nitrous'd, supercharged, had a major oil failure, serious overheated after a blown hose at high speed and it still went strong ... head gasket failure a rare thing. Also helps you can style them into real headturners.
Can't beat jap engineering ... hope the VR4 engine can take similar abuse ☺
Mine was ... err..... I'll tell you later bit embarrassing, but without doubt, the best car I've ever owned !
Nissan 300zx. Running 420bhp fully rebuilt. Full show style kit but with suspension, brakes and power to really move. Owned for 8 glorious years which ended in a trip to the nurburgring and all the best driving roads in Europe. Had 2 ferrari 430,s for company on that trip and the Z held its own. Had to sell earlier this year. Hardest sale of my life.
Close 2ND, 2005 Honda civic type R. Anniversary edition. Was the newest car of ever owned and I kept it standard. Amazing handling, comfort, decent on fuel. Mega car.
Legnum, does everything I want /need. Had nearly 2 years. Not quiet falling in love with it. Don't know why. Amazing car in every way though. And looks amazing.
Cheers
Danny
Fiat 127 in that colour, because it was my first!

Difficult to say. My Datsun 260Z was great ... in it's day. My standard looking, sleeper, Scooby Wagon, running 350 BHP was probably the best fun but my current Audi S3 running 320BHP is probably the best all-rounder I've owned.
Prob 323 GTR...
Regret selling it as so much fun and handled really well...
One of the cars I look for and think again about to have the same fun
X308 XJR
Supercharged 4.0 V8, lashings of leather and wood. Space, pace and grace. Loved it despite 16mpg!
My best car was...... a Peugeot 406 2.0 litre auto, of the non oil burner variant !!
Beautiful & smooth, very quiet & sublime suspension it drove almost as well as my 750 il beemer !
Chris, my mechanic was well impressed with it when compared to the new Saabs he used to sell
May sound suprising....... but it was a very nice place to be, especially on long journeys !
My black 1992 6Gen Galant GTi. I never should've sold it. Never failed, nice to drive, looked like new when I sold it.
My 1999 V6 N/A Galant, one of the first in the country to have a black leather interior and hamilton silver paint,
Bought brand new and got my private plate on it that is now on my VR4.
Lovely car to drive on a daily basis but didn't make me smile as much as my VR4 -S when i get to drive it.
Also Merry Christmas everyone
other than fuel usage and the time its spent off the road, my current vr4 haha, not much competition when the last one was a standard vr4 that had its own issues, a cortina before that that had a few problems with a wof, and a toyota starlet that was good on gas and reliable as, but slow and ugly
audi a8 4.2 tdi v8 twin turbo quattro re mapped 380bhp
NO More VR4 for me, well ive still got the 6G
Well having had upwards of 60 cars including a Rolls Royce, umpteen Mercs/BMW's. my favourite of 5 Lancia's was my Fulvia S3. A proper little drivers car from 1973. Loved it.
Live, love, learn but most of all.... Plan.
Nissan 300zx 400bhp, standard looks other than wheels and rear spoiler delete uprated suspension and brakes like keano, the way it pulled was immense, and like keano I am finding it hard to love the vr4, its competent and quick enough, think the lack of grunt with small turbos might be effecting the feel of it
as the vr4 is excluded.mine was a Yamaha 350 YPVS.spanking new out of showroom in 1987....

Maybe we're asking the wrong thing from the vr4,s mate. My plan was to get rid of my bike carrying diesel estate, and my track /weekend away toy and get 1 car for all. So far the vr4 has been on track, towed an mx5 to a trackday, does all biking and family car duties, work tools, traffic light grand prix winner (whatever the weather I will add). Not as outright quick as the Z but not far off. We are comparing a £2500 estate for a highly modified coupe that was worth £10000 when I sold it. Think I just need to get mine on the lpg then it'll run for a little as my diesel estate then get a 350Z for the sports car duties.
But, all in all, the vr4 is growing on me. And for the price, they're untouchable.
Cheers

Since letting go of the VR4 (which I have regretted ever since) I have had an Alfa Romeo 159 V6 JTS Lusso and currently have one of the new Skoda Octavia 2.0 petrol VRs estate. I would say its a tough call between them.
My guilty pleasure was a 1994 Vauxhall Nova 1.6 GTE... what a pocket rocket!!
2014 Skoda Octavia 2.0 petrol Vrs estate
2015 Volkswagen Golf 1.6 Tdi Bluemotion
1971 BRG MGB Roadster
1970 VW T2 Baywindow camper
I'm still missing my old Lancia Delta HF Integrale (year 1983) which I got in 1998. Great fun. Much less reliable than Mitsi tho, never ending oil leaks from various gaskets/o-rings , cooling prone to overheat, endless ignition problems (HT leads, distributor etc.).
But great reliable turbo, suspension cheap fix (mostly Fiat), actually in general cheap fix if Fiat parts bought.
In 2002 rust had eaten poor thing
Ex: Galant VR4
Running 268 HP ATW and 443 Nm torque at 0.9 bar
Now: Lancer Evolution 8 FQ-300
Running 325 HP ATW and 510 Nm torque at 1.6 bar
