Hi guys, just wondering if there will be a club presence at JAE next weekend? I'm going with another club, but have recently picked up an S plate import VR-4 estate, and will be rocking up in that. Would be good to see a few others.

I'm there with IMOC (international MR2 owners club) but depending on how this weekend goes will depend if the Legnum or the MR2 goes up there.

I don't think there is a plan to go as a club. It's been a while since there has been much enthusiasm from many club members to attend shows.

It's a shame, I think there's a lot of love for these amongst other clubs.

The social side of this club from 2003-2010ish was something I really enjoyed. It seemed as though the running costs of the cars after the banking scandal and recession in 2008 put a lot of people off. Numbers dwindled from then on. From around 2005 for around four years we used to buy two dedicated club track sessions at JapFest at Castle Combe. We could almost guarantee 20 cars on track, we used to have close to 30 on the stand. Hey ho, times change!

I can understand that, I only committed to the car as I have a company van for daily commute, would struggle to afford the 40mile a day round trip otherwise!
